Masatoshi Kozui, assistant professor in the Advanced Control Technology Collaborative Research Laboratory, Toru Yamamoto, professor in the Graduate School of Engineering (the director of the research center) and Kazushige Koiwai (visiting associate professor), Koji Yamashita, Yoichiro Yamazaki (visiting professor), who are from KOBELCO Construction Machinery Co., Ltd, won the SICE Control Division Technical Award with the paper “A Design of Digging Control Based on the Velocity of Attachment CoM for a Hydraulic Excavator” presented at the 6th Multi-symposium on Control Systems.

Also, assistant professor Kozui received the SICE Control Division Research Encouragement Award for the same paper.
